Judy Moskowitz, PhD, MPH, is Professor and Vice Chair for Scientific and Faculty Development in the Department of Medical Social Sciences at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine. Trained as a social psychologist, her research centers on the development, tailoring, and implementation of positive emotion regulation interventions to promote psychological resilience and wellbeing. This work spans diverse populations, including people with chronic illness, healthcare providers, and front-line gun violence prevention workers.  Versions of the intervention with adolescents and young adults include CEDARS (Coping and Emotional Development for Adolescents to Reduce Stress), that focuses on teaching positive emotion regulation skills to adolescents in a classroom setting and LAVENDER (Leveraging Affect and Valuing Empathy for Nurturing Doctors’ Emotional Resilience), a program for students delivered by faculty at the medical school.
