Zabin Patel-Syed

Zabin Patel-Syed is a clinical child psychologist and implementation scientist. She is a Research Assistant Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and Medical Social Sciences and a core faculty member of the Center for Dissemination and Implementation Science. Dr. Patel-Syed is a mixed-methods researcher focused on improving the implementation of evidence-based practices to enhance the well-being of children and families. Her interdisciplinary research program centers on: (1) leveraging evidence-based assessment to support shared decision making among youth, caregivers, and providers; (2) designing and testing implementation strategies to increase clinicians’ use of evidence-based interventions; and (3) applying a socioecological framework to examine how community contexts influence the effectiveness of evidence-based interventions.
